CAPT JOHN NOWINSKI

Captain John Nowinski has been fishing and lobstering Casco Bay and the Mid-Maine coast for over 40 years.

As a deckhand on fishing and lobstering boats at age 12 and gaining a Captain’s license at age 17, Captain John has been plying these local waters since 1976. A Licensed Merchant Mariner and Federal River Pilot on the Kennebec River, Captain John has been piloting ships from the Shipyard to Sequin Island for over 30 years.

Current licenses include a United States Coast Guard 100 Ton License and Maine State Boat Operator Permit. He is also a Registered Master Maine Guide in fishing, hunting, recreational & tidewater fishing, and CPR & Advanced First Aid Certified.
